Full disclosure: I’m one of those people (assuming I’m not the only one) who actually reads the instructions for the new toaster and whatever else I bring home. I have a low level anxiety about burning the house down, but mostly, I’m just curious about how we explain things to one another. There is something so pure and simple about instructions, when written well, and risky (or hilarious), when done poorly.
